Learn the fundamentals of design research, including gathering answers from real people and transforming them into insights. This course addresses how to ask better questions and choose the most appropriate methods for human-centred research. Topics will include ethical research, minimizing bias, deductive/inductive/abductive approaches, grounded theory, and an overview of qualitative and quantitative methods. Designed for people who gather and/or analyze information about people and want to increase their competence in research. No knowledge of statistics or specialized software is needed. This is a half-day introductory session. Follow this with one or both of our full-day Research Clinics.
